Cheats

When selecting team color, type any of the following codes and press Enter. Some of them have to be activated in the game by pressing C. A plus sign should then appear next to the date. If you go back to the Play Game screen later and enter another cheat, you have to press C again twice to activate this one, too. Cheats are available for the whole game session, even when loading an older savegame. I have tested the following cheats:

maps751

This cheat does not need any further activation. The game does not acknowledge the input in any way, but allows you then to play any map with any difficulty setting, though the warning text will still be blinking. You can also play on a higher difficulty setting without an adversary.

missions824

Press Alt+I during game turn off council missions. It is a good idea to employ this cheat the first time you play against an opponent.

houses738

This cheat has two effects: it makes all the buildings available from the beginning, and it removes the number restrictions. You can have more than five of any building, you can have multiple gadget factories and multiple commission houses.

fences673

Build any fence. Since you still need the resources, it is only relevant for those fences that require upgraded factories.

gadgets337

Build any gadget. Since gadgets do not use up resources, you can really build any gadget once this cheat is enabled.

estates131

This cheats removes all restrictions on buying estates. Otherwise the council won't sell you a new estate when one of yours does not contain a house for tenants, or you have developed less than 90% of your current estates.

worker902

This adds a button to your HQ screen allowing you to buy a worker from the city council (finally, they are good for something) for £5000. Without the cheat, this button is only enabled when you have completely run out of workers.

cadets552

When this cheat is active, Alt+P will create a cadet and Alt+M a mob bribe.

tenants127

Unlimited tenants for every level from the beginning. Along with the two former cheats, this completely removes the need for breeding.

gangster822

Convert workers into a gangster anytime, without need of a mob HQ.

weapons473

Buy any weapon for your gangsters.

actions674

Enables all the undesirable actions, regardless of difficulty level.

build909

If you hold down Ctrl+C when placing a house while this cheat is enabled, the house will be finished immediately and no resources used up.

When this cheat is enabled, you can change the team you are playing by pressing Ctrl+T. Of course this works only in solo play. Due to the many ways the computer cheats it is pointless to do this well into the game; the game will then end very quickly due to bankruptcy.

The following cheats are as yet untested:

There are no known cheats to overcome the restriction that you can have only 30 workers, 20 repairmen and 10 foremen. All these cheats work only for the DOS version, the Windows patch disables them.
