Council Missions
In a game without opponents, there will be only three council
missions, after you have built all three types of level 3, 4, and
five houses respectively:
- Build a park on a randomly determined estate which you of
course have to buy first. It must contain at least eight trees
and a pond, the only real use for the garden pond in the whole
game. Remember that the council demands that you have at least
one house for tenants on each estate, so don't let the park
fill the whole estate.
- Build four level four houses of a certain type on a single
estate. They all must have trees and a greenhouse. The type is
determined randomly, but you can force the hand of the council
if the last type of house you build is the only one with still
four left. Note that greenhouses require a steel factory, so
you have to upgrade your steel yard if you have not done so
yet.
- Build three level 5 houses covering all of an estate. They
must have rose arbours, garden furniture and all rooms must be
upgraded to max. The houses can be any type.
Once you have fulfilled the mission and the council has patted
your head, you are free to sell the houses or destroy the park,
if it does not fit your plans. In a game against an opponent,
there are the following additional missions:
- After completing all three level 2 houses: Get rid of a
tenant of the opposing team. You can destroy his house or get
him to leave. At this stage, usually the only way to solve this
mission is to take over the house. If the tenant dies of old age
before the deadline, the mission is counted as solved too.
- Get rid of an undesirable of the opposing team.
This mission is triggered when an opposing team has three
undesirables of the same kind. You only have to get rid of
one of the three. Taking it over with a foreman will do,
you can keep it if you want.
There are probably more, but these are the only ones I have
encountered so far.
