Kirafall, created by Marty Runyon concentrates more on appearance than the other mods. This is how he explains its creation:
a) Welcome
Sometime during my college years, my roommate told me "You have to play this game!" That game turned out to be TES: Arena. Well, I was not enthusiastic about it. It was promising, but a little bland for my taste.
Then, Daggerfall (DF) came out. My previous experience with Arena and reviews about bugs kept me from buying the game. But I also kept hearing about how great it was so I checked it out. And WOW! I was blown away. Thus was born Kira Lanfier, high elven Witchblade. I was hooked.
When, because of the games popularity, game editors started popping up, I had to give them a try. The best addition to DF, though, had to be AndyFall. It gave new life to the game and made the experience that much more fun.
Now that editing tools have reached this level of power and ease of use, I decided it was time to put forward my own addition to the Daggerfall universe.
Welcome to KiraFall. Enjoy your time here and let me know if you have any ideas, comments, or complaints.
b) Reasoning
These changes are based on my Daggerfall character, Kira. One of the things that I love about DF is the paperdoll aspect of the game. Now this isn't new, but DF offered so many choices! Since I'm playing a character of the opposite sex, I felt it was neccessary to roleplay to the utmost. I'd spend at least a half hour shopping for the perfect outfit. Of course, tastes change over time, so I'd travel from town to town seeking another clothing store. Kira's home is in Merhope Hall of Wayrest, near a nice store.
AndyFall added quite a few changes to the game and kept my interest even longer. So I took some time and have added a clothing enhancements, a book of my own, and a few internal textual changes. Everything is based on AndyFall so most of its changes are still in the game. Soon, I will be adding a quest or two to round out the roleplaying, i.e. not neccessarily kill this or that. Stay tuned and enjoy.
Main additions to AndyFall are the white dress from the title screen and the fact that dark elves have now black skin instead of grey, except those in Wayrest court.
NOTE: The TEXTURE.346 in the archive is corrupt. It crashes every program I tried to view it with, and might well crash the game. I suggest you replace it with the one in Andyfall.
