The Blades

From all the things left out and changes made, the changes to L.A. are the most mysterious. Mysterious, because so much finished work was discarded, and what it was replaced with was rather weak. They had put a lot of effort into L.A., and in the end it felt rather unfinished.

While the Blades did survive into the final version, their whole character was changed. They were originally a gang, somewhat more civilised than the Rippers they were constantly battling, but a gang nonetheless. Their trademark weapon was the vibro blade, which was renamed Ripper only later.

Razor, their leader, was the only Blade that survived the change. In a way this is a pity, because her script and message file was overwritten.

Fire

He is obviously Razor's right-hand man. He tells the PC what the deal is: If you want to become a Blade, you will have to kill someone. If you want peace between the Blades and Adytum, you will have to wipe out the rippers. But that's only a suggestion:

I don't make the deals. I only make suggestions. Talk to Razor if you want to deal.

The one you need to kill to become a Blade was probably Tangler. There is an item, Tangler's Hand, which would have been the proof of your success.

Dolgan and Snake

Once you agree to fight the Rippers, one of them may have given you a ripper. After you wiped the enemy out, you could get a small boost of your melee skill:

Sure thing. But it will take most of the day for a little improvement. You still want that?

And you could get a hint how to get into the Gun Runners:

Seems like we let in a fool. Well, if you want to get into their place, there is a slight break in their moat. Look for it and run like mad. You may even make it across.

Romero

He is mostly interesting because of his love affair with Julianna, an Adytowner. An early MSG file identifies him as a Ripper, but that must have been dropped as soon as it was decided that the Rippers would not engage in dialog.

Beca and Jade

They were located in the sleeping quarters. After you wiped out the Rippers, you could rest here. They may have been the only female members of the Blades with dialog, except for Razor, of course.

Dragon

There is not much meaningful dialog with him. Seems you could meet him outside the building, possibly in the location where MacRae is now found.
