Daggerfall Crossroads

Welcome to the Daggerfall Crossroads!
Created by Magnus Itland and hosted on King Svatopluk's Court.

First, of course, I'll try to promote my own fledgling Daggerpages. Then there's a list of actually good pages, which other people have made. And not just a list, but a short note of WHY they are worth seeing.

My "useful" Daggerfall pages

Introduction - what's so great about Daggerfall?
Lycanthropy FAQ - about the curse (and blessing) of the werewolves and wereboars in Daggerfall.
Daggerfall nudity guide for concerned parties (if any). Text with illustrated supplement. (Inquiring minds need to see!)
Alternate play style - my take on the latest craze means the end of classes as we know them. Uh, character classes, for those of you still in school...

In the build queue:
The rare item gallery: Naturally found items with an attitude.

FanFic

The Golden One.

FanPic

The Daggerfall Voluntary Fireman Corps in training...

Strange but true

The genuine screen shot, unretouched by human hands...
Closing time
Pinching time

My childish DF character vanity pages

Linguist page is dedicated to my Linguist class and the superheroine Language Grrl, as known from alt.games.daggerfall.
Rosa's Wardrobe Gallery is a collection of Rosa (and occasionally friends) showing off her wardrobe. (Heavy on graphics, may load slowly.)
See my current character: Mr Athon!
(My previous characters were Pal a'Din, Annie-Ma and HandyWoman.)

Other folks' Daggerfall pages

If you want to play through the game, I recommend MarStinson's "Beginner's Guide". His site is famous for its illustrated walkthroughs of main quest dungeons. A valuable tool for those who want to do the main quest line of the game. In addition, the website contains a wealth of info on many parts of the game.

Another site stuffed to the rafters with content is the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages. It is less critically sorted than MarStinson's page, and you will find rumors of varying quality along with genuinely tried and tested stuff. There are also some early FAQs. Don't take everything for gospel, but this is a rich ore to mine. Readable on old browsers, too.

A most ambitious project which I heartily endorse is the growing city list in DF Gazetteer. Think of it as the DF equivalent of the Human Genome Project. Want to sell all those holy daggers and buy a high-quality weapon? Look up your province to find a rusty pawnshop and a perfect weaponsmithy. And be sure to send your own contributions to Jackie!
New: Tamriel Realty, for those looking for a new home in the Bay area. Iliac Bay, that is. Same address, tidy layout.

The main quest is not everything, or even the main appeal of Daggerfall. Most of all it is a roleplaying environment, and some people are really milking it.
Take a look at The Essential Site (formerly Andel Crodo's Fashion Gallery). This is also where you can find some third party expansion to the game, with new graphics and character classes.

The large and well updated Hall of Adventurers is also worth a visit. If for nothing else, you will probably want the Extra Quests that this person has made and is still making for the avid Daggerfans out there. There is also software for making your own quests or editing old ones, if you feel up to it.

For another take on building the Daggerfall universe, what about a Daggerfallian newspaper? Well, actually it's from the northern province of Ykalon, and the name is The Evening Star. (Some graphics.)
Warning: The site exists but is not regularly updated. Rumored to soon be under new management.

For the more academically minded, have you ever wondered what all those plants are that dot the wilderness (and even creep into the towns) of Daggerfall? Well, help is at hand: Daggerfall Flora is just what it sounds like. (Uh, what more is there to say?)
This site has changed address. Please update bookmarks, if any.

(The Daggerfall Tavern, another good Daggersite, disappeared with the demise of its ISP. If anyone sees it again, please inform me.)

There are lots of other good web pages about Daggerfall, but I have selected these for being either especially useful or showing special dedication to the world of Daggerfall. I will gladly expand this selection with other sites that meet these criteria.

You are also welcome to visit the knowledgeable (albeit slightly crazy) newsgroup alt.games.daggerfall - possibly the friendliest newsgroup on the Net!
Afterwards, if you still want, you can learn more about some of the other hardcore Daggerfriends at the site called, for some reason, Daggerfools...
